Freedom Is A Lie

Freedom is a beautiful lie that we all have been living since years. In this so-called world, we think that, if we become rich, then we will be free. Once I achieve that goal, then I’ll be free. In fact, many people who are working for others or to be more specific, who are working for the top organizations, are all somewhat trapped in an unbreakable cycle of wanting more and more, with the belief that it will make them free one day, but the truth is entirely the opposite.

It is just a trap that’s been strategically designed to make us believe that there is something more precious at the top of the ladder. Though there are some intelligent beings too who have mastered the art of balancing both professional and personal lives, yet still hold a heavy baggage of insecurities and pain within themselves. However, we can’t deny that wanting more helps in changing lives, but it takes a lot more in return. But, you might probably think, if it’s about giving more, then where’s the harm? The harm isn’t in getting more; the harm is in becoming addicted to it.

So, how can we embrace the true freedom in the real sense? Experiencing the true freedom doesn’t lie in sleeping in comfy blankets or buzzing around without a sense of purpose. In fact, it lies in a utter mayhem and chaos of our lives. When things don’t turn around as planned, when we suffer more than enjoying life, when we start to question our own existence, then we begin to sense the true freedom.

If Freedom Is A Lie, Then What Would True Freedom Be Like?

True freedom lies in our daily life struggles. Struggle that challenges us on a physical, mental, and emotional level, often, draining our energy to the extent we begin to feel like an outcast, non-existent, and unwanted being who no one cares about. Simply put, the real freedom isn’t in spending money on levish things or enjoying late-night parties; rather, it is in an unstoppable urge to be whole “YOU”.

A “YOU” that makes you feel alive and free in your own body. When you no longer feel trapped within yourself, when things you fear the most don’t fear you anymore, it rather awakens your inner power or consciousness that knows no limits. It is also mentioned in on of Neville Goddard’s bookFreedom For All” that “consciousness is the only truth“. And, surprising enough, freedom is also entwined with consciousness. Because being full awake in “now” we can truly experience the true freedom.

How To Achieve True Freedom? 5 Steps Process

1) There Is Something Going in Your Head (Find Out What’s That)

Most of the time, we’re occupied with dozens of thoughts, dizzying slowly as if our heads are heavy, and we don’t know what exactly the problem is or how to make it bearable at the same time. Our heart rate goes up and down at a rapid rate, almost paralysing us in the moment. We hardly make eye contact with people and always find ways to cover up our feelings and emotions.

This usually happens when our thoughts are not properly aligned with our actions. At some point, we feel determined and confident, and on the next, we are occupied with negative thoughts. This recurring thought causes us to remain trapped in our complex minds, playing the same role again and again and never actually reaching somewhere.

So, the first step to finding true freedom is to be mindful of your thoughts, feelings, emotions, or what’s actually going on in your head. If possible, jot them down in a handy journal, write an action plan, and go through it when the same thought pops up in your head. Ask yourself if this thought can really help you change your life, or is it a thought with no value? Questioning yourself would help you analyse the situation rationally and find the right solution.

2) Pick The Recurring Thoughts That Affect Your Life

In the second step, pick the thoughts that deeply affect your social, personal, and professional lives.

For example, if you’re with a family, then check yourself to see if you’re really with the family or somewhere else. Or when you’re in an office, then check on yourself to see if you’re really in the office or at home.

Our mind is a complex object that keeps wandering from place to place. So, it’s our responsibility to put a hold on it or keep them at bay for further complications. In fact, knowing about these intrusive thoughts can reduce their drastic effects down the line. As these unpleasant thoughts can lead us in the wrong direction, making us question our life choices, actions, and beliefs.

So, having control over these recurring thoughts is far more crucial than avoiding them. As it somehow has the power to control our lives and our freedom at the same time.

3) Dump The Negative Recurring Thoughts and Embrace The Positive Ones

The third step revolves around including life-changing recurring thoughts and excluding the negative ones. This process might seem unauthentic or unreal, but if you understand your mind and know how to have a little control over it, then it might not seem that unauthentic. It’s just about picking genuine thoughts that make you feel alive, happy, and liberated.

4) Check The Potentiality Of These Genuine Thoughts

The fourth step is all about testing and implementing positive thoughts in the pragmatic world and understanding their powerfulness.

With a list of those life-changing recurring thoughts (you jotted down in your journal), you can practically understand if they are workable or not. Because having a few better thoughts can’t change your life all alone, it is your willingness and unbreakable attitude that shapes your life all together. While understanding that real freedom can’t be manifested just like that, it takes an incredible amount of patience and focus to submerge into its divineness “completely.”

5) Take Action

Once you find the true, genuine thought that naturally aligns with your intuition or gut, then make an action plan to manifest it in the physical world.

You may find this thought or a belief unreal and unachievable, but that’s where true freedom lies. Breaking free from the unpleasant thoughts and choosing to be fully alive in the present (with positive recurring thoughts) is where true freedom resides.

Remember, a tree that you see today was once a small leaf that faced the same relatable challenges that you face today. It stayed grounded when the wind tried to shake it down; it stood firm when rain judged its fortitude; it remained silent when time tested its patience. And eventually it became a full-grown tree, providing relief to people sitting on its shadow and fruits to nature as a gesture of selflessness.

So, be like a tree that stays strong and resilient in the face of challenges. Stay grounded no matter what life throws at you, bear the pain, have compassion towards yourself, and most importantly, never give up on something that can get you closer to your true freedom or make you a complete “YOU.”
